Kristi Thibaut is a lifelong Texan and nearly 20-year resident of western Harris County, who is running for the Democratic nomination to bring new leadership as your next Precinct 3 County Commissioner.
A former Member of the Texas Legislature, Kristi is no stranger to public service. She co-founded Parents for Full & Fair Funding of Texas Public Schools, just completed a term as President of the Hunters Creek Elementary PTA, and currently serves on the Board of the Spring Branch Education Foundation. Her volunteer work includes serving on the Board of Playworks Texas and fundraising for Chapelwood School for Young Children.
As a member of the Texas House of Representatives, Kristi served on the Land Resource & Management, and Culture, Tourism & Recreation Committees, and was named Freshman of the Year by her colleagues. Prior to serving in elected office, Kristi had extensive experience serving as a non-profit fundraiser for clients including the American Heart Association.
Kristi Thibaut is running to serve the residents of Precinct 3 to tackle flood control and infrastructure improvements, as well as to strengthen the County’s health care access and improve its educational programs. Kristi will also make increasing transparency and accountability at Commissioners Court a priority.
Kristi would be the first woman elected to Precinct 3, and just the second woman ever elected to serve as Harris County Commissioner.
Kristi Thibaut is a native of Bay City, who holds two degrees from the University of Texas-Austin. She and her husband Mark, an oil and gas professional, reside with their son Christopher in Hunters Creek Village.
