Blacklist for online gaming platforms

Switzerland adds new names to the list

The Swiss Federal Gaming Board and the Swiss Lottery and Betting Commission have added other websites to their blacklist. There are unlicensed igaming operators who are now seen as illegal providers in Switzerland. The blacklist was first discussed in September last year, and now the blacklist is updated regularly. Anyone who offers illegal gambling ends up on the list.

Another 33 domains are added to the list

The ESBK has now added 33 new websites. The Lottery and Betting Commission was able to add another 12 providers to its list. There are some well-known addresses and new online casinos based in Curacao.

Since the list has been updated regularly since its introduction, further additions have already been made in the past few months. In January, for example, another 145 addresses made it onto the list, which is quite remarkable.

In general, things are looking anything but rosy for the gaming business in Switzerland: While licensed online casinos can continue to offer their services, local casinos have had a tough time in the past few months. The doors had to remain closed, which resulted in enormous revenue penalties. So it's no wonder that many players and providers prefer to focus on online business.

Keep your eyes open when choosing a gambling provider

Although some see the decision of the Swiss authorities as very strict, they also set a good example. The market is regulated and the licenses are carefully examined. In Germany, it has not yet been viewed too strictly, licenses from Curacao, for example, are still seen as being in the gray area. The casinos are therefore allowed to offer their services in the Federal Republic without any problems. But some innovations are also planned for us, it will remain exciting. What will happen in the next year, what changes will be associated with the planned German licenses?

It is clear that Europe is slowly but surely becoming active. Many countries are trying to get their own licenses to regulate the market and - of course - to generate their own tax revenues. You may think what you like about the Swiss blacklist, but all in all it is very positive that not every provider in the EU is allowed to freely switch and rule.

As a player, you too are always in demand: choose your online gaming provider wisely. Look at honest reviews (also the user) and checked the license for online casino. On sites like ours, you get extensive insights into the game selection and the developers represented. We also provide customer service and payment information to ensure that players choose a site that is safe and fun. However, that never replaces the critical eye every casino fan should use to deposit their money on a gambling site.
